Cleburne Golf Links first opened as a 9-hole golf course in 1930. In 1969 the course was expanded to 18 holes with the design being handled by Leon Howard. The course was redesigned in 2009 by John Colligan.
Cleburne Golf Links is a new re-design of the old Pat Cleburne Municipal Golf Course. The course itself was built around Lake Pat Cleburne. The redesign plays to just over 7,000 yards from the back tees, an expansion from the 6,300 plus length of the old course. As the name implies, this is an open links style of golf course. The course offers great of Pat Cleburne Lake. It's a true links course in the sense that it goes out for 9 holes, and back in to the clubhouse at 18.

Played the Links on an Avid Golfer coupon - $15.xx (always sweet)! Course in good condition - played with some locals who were knowledgeable about the development of the Links. Current course had some troubles with previous ground supt - it is in strong recovery mode now. Fairways have very generous width - greens although not aethistically appealling putt well with a little pace. Club Staff (Kyle) very friendly/hospitable. Travelled from North FTW to play - worth the drive. Get out and play Cleburne Golf Links.
